✅ How to Print a Zoomed Section to PDF in AutoCAD

🧭 Step-by-Step Guide:

🔹 1. Open the Drawing in AutoCAD

Ensure the section you want to print is clearly visible.

🔹 2. Use the PLOT Command

  • Type PLOT or press Ctrl + P

  • The Plot dialog box will appear

🔹 3. Select Printer/Plotter

  • In the Printer/Plotter dropdown, choose:

    • DWG To PDF.pc3 → to export as PDF

🔹 4. Set the Paper Size

  • Choose a suitable paper size (e.g., A4, A3, etc.)

  • Larger paper = more zoom space

🔹 5. Plot Area: Choose 'Window'

  • Click the Window button

  • Select the area (section) you want to print by clicking and dragging

  • This lets you zoom into just the section, not the full drawing

🔹 6. Adjust Plot Scale

  • Options:

    • Fit to paper → Zooms to fill page

    • Or manually set a scale (e.g., 2:1 for double-size)

Check "Center the plot" to center your zoomed section on the paper.

🔹 7. Plot Offset and Orientation

  • Set Plot Offset to Center the plot (AutoCAD will handle it)

  • Choose Landscape or Portrait as needed

🔹 8. Plot Style Table (Optional)

  • Use monochrome.ctb for black & white output

  • Or your custom plot style

🔹 9. Preview Before Printing

  • Click Preview to make sure your zoomed section looks correct

  • If okay, click OK

🔹 10. Save PDF

  • AutoCAD will ask where to save the PDF file

  • Choose your folder and filename → Click Save
